This weekend, we celebrate Memorial Day – a day to reflect on the individuals who have given their lives to protect our country. We’ve long supported former service members and we are fortunate to have incredible military veterans on our team.
We’ve also supported veterans in action, not just words, through donations to Wounded Warrior, we traditionally time these contributions to be on Veterans Day or Memorial Day.
Our feeling of gratitude is no different this year. However, we find ourselves in a unique time, because we are at war currently and in an entirely different theatre then the traditional battlefield. The world is at war with an invisible, but deadly and pervasive enemy, the Covid 19 virus. Rincon has been supporting one kind of “soldier” on the front line of this battle, first responders like doctors, nurses and paramedics through donations to entities like Feed the Frontline and supporting our fellow humans through blood and financial donations to the Red Cross. But today we turn our attention, gratitude and action to the more traditional soldiers, our veterans and current military families. Today we made a $1,000 contribution to the USO’s Combat COVID-19 Fund. Despite these strange times, we thank our fellow employee owners, customers, and partners who enable us to show our gratitude through a donation like this.
We wish you, your family and friends a relaxing, fun, safe and healthy Memorial Day weekend.
